Robin is an award-winning career journalist with 20 years of newsroom experience; leading from the anchor desk and reporting from the story front lines on both local and network/national platforms. Robin has worked as an anchor and reporter in newsrooms across Western Canada and as the Washington D.C. Foreign Correspondent for Global National. She has anchored Global BC’s Morning Show, 5pm newscast, the Weekend Newshour at 6 and served as a fill-in host regularly for Global National.
Robin has been on the ground covering some of the biggest U.S. news events in recent years, including the Boston Marathon Bombing, Hurricane Sandy making landfall in Manhattan and the tragic school shootings in Sandy Hook as well as covering U.S. elections and U.S. President Obama’s administration.
Robin’s passion for good stories told well and great conversations is at the heart of her work. She continues to enjoy hosting opportunities; most recently headlining a six part in-depth podcast series about the mining industry.
An Air Force kid who grew up all over the world, Robin’s favourite things away from her work include cycling, documentary/podcast binging, tap dance classes, second-hand clothing shops, everything and anything en français and family beach days.
Robin has strong ties to her community in volunteering and supporting the BC Children’s Hospital, BC SPCA as well as working with young reporters in journalism mentorship programs across Canada.
